Wang Liguang

Professor Wang Liguang serves as chairman of the Global Music Education League (GMEL) and president of the China Conservatory of Music. He is also the initiator of the Chinese National School of Music, a doctoral advisor, and the chief editor of the Chinese Music Encyclopedia. He ranks as a prominent contemporary Chinese composer as well, and his works range from symphony and chamber pieces to those for opera and film. 

Professor Wang received the title of Leading Talent of Chinese Culture Masters from the Chinese government. He has won many additional awards from the state, including the Award of a Decade Contribution Review Bonus for Chinese Popular Music, the Best Music of Golden Rooster Award, the Excellent Music of China Huabiao Film Award, the Best Works Award, the Golden Eagle Award, and the Flying Apsaras Award, among others. His film score also won the Jury Award at the Montreal World Film Festival.
