Born in Inner Mongolia (China), Hao Miao's studies were at the Shanghai Music School under the auspices of the Shanghai Conservatory, the Kharkov Conservatory(Ukraine), the University of North Texas College of Music(MM and AD) and University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music(DMA). His principle teachers were Shisheng Zheng, Mingen Zhou, Leonid Kholodenko, Julia Bushkova and Kurt Sassmannshaus. He has also received coachings and masterclasses from Alexander Kerr, Victor Danchenko, Dmitri Berlinsky , David Kim, Bin Huang, Charles Castleman and Krzysztof Wegzyrn. Hao Miao has won top prize at the“21 Century” Young Aritist Competiton in Ukraine(2009), Mid-Texas Concerto Competiton in Texas(2014) and the Naftzger Young Artist Audition in Kansas(2015). Hao Miao was also one of the competitors of the Menuhin Violin comepetition(US, Texas) in 2014 and the Sarasate Violin competition(Spain) in 2015, and he was one of the semifinalists of  the prestigious “Premio Paganini" Violin Competiton in Italy 2018.

Hao Miao is currently teaching violin at the Shanghai Tongji University College of Arts and Media.
