Noelle NAITO

USA Age 21

Noelle Midori Takebe Naito is a Japanese-American violinist. She made her orchestra debut with the Kostroma Symphony Orchestra (Russia), at age 9 and has since performed with the Columbia Orchestra (Columbia, Maryland), Landon Symphonette (Bethesda, Maryland), the United States Army Orchestra, and Flint Symphony Orchestra (Flint, Michigan). Noelle has played in venues such as Weill Recital Hall, Cadogan Hall, Franz Liszt House (Weimar, Germany), The Embassy of Japan, and The German Consulate in NYC. She has participated in music festivals such as Heifetz International Music Institute, Aspen Music Festival and School, and Taipei Music Academy Festival.

Noelle has won numerous competitions, including The William C. Byrd Young Artist Competition and the United States Army Orchestra Competition. In 2019, Noelle was selected as a Student Artist at the Starling-Delay Symposium held at the Juilliard School, where she performed in masterclasses for Kathleen Winkler and Midori. Additionally, Noelle has appeared on WFMT radio program “Introductions” in Chicago as a soloist and chamber musician.

Noelle is currently studying with Jaime Laredo and Malcolm Lowe at the Cleveland Institute of Music, where she is pursuing her Bachelor of Music. She plays on a 1662 Andrea Guarneri graciously loaned by the Ryuji Ueno Foundation.
